Compensation

Monthly gross salary is Taka 159,000 plus other admissible benefits are as per CARE policy. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and salary history of the selected person.

Job Detail:



Program Summary

CARE Bangladesh invites applications for this position for SHOUHARDO3 Project which is 5 years USAID funded food security program started from October 2015. The aim of the project is to improve gender equitable food security, nutrition and resilience of vulnerable people in target communities in 8 districts and 23 Upazila in Char and Haor regions by 2020. The program will achieve enduring change for over 1.1 million women, adolescent girls, children under five, men, and youth, through a comprehensive development approach that strategically layers, sequences, and integrates technical interventions that meet the immediate needs of the targeted communities while also investing in social, economic, and institutional capital to build a foundation for future food security and resilience. The program will be implemented in partnership with local NGOs with technical support from various GoB departments/units, academia and national/international organizations.

Position Title, Location & Contract Duration

Senior Team Leader Knowledge Management & Sharing (STL-KMS) (1 position, at Dhaka, CARE Bangladesh Headquarter)

The duration of the proposed contract is up to September 28, 2020.

I. Job Summary:

The Senior Team Leader - Knowledge Management & Sharing (STL-KMS) is part of the project Senior Management Team and is located at CBHQ. The STL-KMS will provide expert leadership in production of high quality information for project management and documentation, directly supervising the Knowledge Management Coordinator, M&E Coordinator and the Reporting Manager, who will be accountable for identifying best practices, and learning and producing high quality publications. The incumbent would lead all M&E, knowledge sharing, and reporting activities for Program. S/he is responsible to ensure that project key lessons are documented, disseminated and published widely. S/he should ensure that the project adhering all branding and visibility and producing high quality of reports. S/he will play lead role and support to promote the program brand through developing vibrant relations with appropriate development agencies, both international and national; and production of high quality “relevant” material to generate interest across the development world.

II. Responsibilities and Tasks:

Responsibility#1: Staff Management

Direct supervision of the KM Coordinator, the M&E Coordinator and the Reporting Manager”. Responsibilities in staff management include

Responsibility#2: Coordination of the “learning” system of the program

35%

Provide strategic guidance to the technical teams setting an effective vision and goals to maintain the requirements
Design a “learning” system for both CARE and PNGO staff and beneficiaries, and to develop learning systems that can be used in the regional offices to promote best learning
Produce regular reports, documentation and analysis for raising cross-learning and sharing within the program, donor, and the GoB
Interact and develop relations with the FFP awardees in Bangladesh to learn about their best practices and disseminate widely





Responsibility#3: Coordination of the “Communications and Public Relations Unit and PEARL” Units of CARE B and relevant unit in USAID

25%

Ensure the Knowledge Management Coordinator, Reporting Manager and M&E Coordinator work closely to implement knowledge sharing and information systems which routinely surfaces best practices and other actions which can be considered as lessons
Develop the capacity of staff involved in the reporting system for them to produce quality reports
Manage the production of high quality “publishable” material on a regular basis
Publish program material in international and national relevant journals and publications





Responsibility#4: Help promote the profile of program among appropriate development agencies

20%

Provide expert guidance to organize learning events inviting donors, GoB counterparts, NGOs, other civil society, and private sector for information interchange sessions
Maintain a network of relevant and high profile development practitioners with whom information is frequently exchanged
Liaison with Donor and allied development agencies





Responsibility#5: Ensure all publications and documentation compliance to USAID and CARE rules and regulations and branding

10%

Follow carefully all USAID and CARE requirements in the implementation of the KM system and production of documentation.
Regularly monitor the advocacy initiatives, publication and documentation being worked on to ensure all compliance issues are being maintained.
Make necessary adjustments as and when required.





III. Reporting to:

The Senior Team Leader Knowledge Management & Sharing reports directly to the Chief of Party. The STL-KMS’s direct reports are the KM Coordinator, M&E Coordinator and the Reporting Manager.

IV. Working Condition:

The Senior Team Leader - Knowledge Management & Sharing is based at CBHQ, with approximately 25% field travel.
