• Knowledge and experience on monitoring and reporting;
• Experience in organizing and facilitating training and workshop;
• Good verbal and written communication skill in Bangla;
• Ability to understand and communicate with the rural community people;
• Knowledge on Microsoft Office specially in MS Word and MS Excel;
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and deliver on time;
• Proven ability to work as a team member;
• Proven commitment to gender equality and other human rights issues;
• Motorcycle driving skill with knowledge on safety measures and valid licence;
• Age may be relaxed for deserving candidates.

Job Detail

Job Description / Responsibility

Name of Project: Improvement of the Real Situation of Overcrowding in Prisons in Bangladesh (IRSOP), a joint Project of the Ministry of Home Affairs and GIZ.
Duration: January 2016- March 2017.
Major responsibilities of Rehabilitation Supervisor cum Counselor (IRSOP) are as follows:
Executing assigned project activities inside and outside of the prison by following the Code of Conduct of prison authority strictly;
Coordinate and liaise with primary and secondary stakeholders like prison authority, partner NGO/s, Paralegals and prisoners for implementation of the project activities in regards to referral of drug user prisoners and skill development and reintegration of vulnerable prisoners.
Liaise with drug treatment and skill development service providing agencies: government, non-government and private and maintain regular linkage with them to open up avenue to get continuous support for drug treatment and skill development training.
Take and explore advocacy initiatives with all potential stakeholders to motivate them to think positively and explore their ability for drug referral and skill development training and social reintegration.
Coordinate with the Paralegals and local prison authority to collect list of drug user prisoners and vulnerable prisoners for skill development and social reintegration.
Data management, monitoring and reporting on drug rehabilitation and skill development activities.
Coordinate and provide support to the Project Coordinator, Manager (Rehabilitation) for overall project implementation.
